An incredibly vulnerable, heartbreaking, explorative, honest, and moving solo solo show about OCD and trauma. Her story is VERY personal. By the end, half the audience was in tears - myself included. The pacing and direction were phenomenal. The storytelling was spectacular. It's a very, VERY good show - one that deserves encores and more support so it can get its reps in. All the laurels!... full review

This was an amazing show. Marissa is fearless, raw, honest, and compelling in her storytelling. I resonated deeply with this show on many levels. I hope this show reaches a much wider audience in the future because it is so important for others to understand what OCD actually is. You should perform it/show it at the OCD convention! The show is a very approachable way to help others understand what it is like living with OCD. Thank you 🙏 ... full review

It’s about much more than a peacock or even a fire: This is raw, intimate, emotionally charged storytelling at its best. Marissa shares OCD, wildfire trauma, and healing with warmth and courage. You laugh, you cry, and you leave feeling connected—to her, to others, and to your own resilience.... full review

Polished. Extremely poised, funny and confident! Welcoming us from the get go! A true LA story of the Fires mixed with her combating OCD! Universal! I want to "Moma Bear" her show, as she said the world "Moma Beared" her & her husband giving them places to stay. Props are very simple. Videos are used. Easy to travel. Audience with her every step of the way. And her emotional ending is inspiring! "Fruit tastes better when u share it!" A Peacock in the Rubble should be shared! Quite magnifiicent!!!!! What an awesome representation of the Best Fringe!!!! ... full review

A beautiful portrait on the struggles of living with OCD. I respect the natural flow of storytelling and keeping us engaged by not appearing too overly rehearsed, giving us a present experience. Perhaps I ought not to write too much about this show so that you can experience it for yourself. I highly recommend this show and can't wait to see what Marissa Rutka brings next to the stage. ... full review
