What I liked
The show is well written and hilarious. The music, both original and parody covers of 2000s hits, are catchy and truly clever. There’s so many special moments of physical comedy, prop work, strong comedic characters that you’re constantly surprised by what comes next. The performances are pitch perfect, fresh twists on high school stereotypes. The live band was awesome and brought another level of energy to the show. H.A.G.S. is a absolute blast, the audience wants to get up and dance!
What I didn't like
I just wanted more and more! A full-length musical destined for Broadway.
My overall impression
A non-stop laugh riot with songs! The cast is so funny and so in sync, they know and trust each other so well, which makes for the most playful, joyous experience. H.A.G.S. checks all the boxes: comedy, musical, nostalgia, romance, the gays!
