What I liked
My favorite part was definitely getting to be in the show as her date, LOL. We did the Pulp Fiction dance.
What I didn't like
My big issue – the whole show was in Chinese. At least I think that was the language, but how would I even know – I don’t speak it! I had to read subtitles the whole time.
Admittedly, I often watch foreign films, but that’s different. The appeal of theatre is the personal engagement with the performer(s) and not being able to understand them creates a barrier.
Also, if you are gonna have subtitles, at least put the screen center stage. Since the screen was stage left, I kept having to look in that direction and basically didn’t get to look at Snow for the vast majority of the show.
My overall impression
Some moving material with Snow talking about her father, and some good choices of music.
