Even the playbill was funny. From the moment you receive a dolphin mask or a pack of crayons: you know you’re in for a wet and wild ride. (We did get wet!!). After all the silliness the ending was touching. My favourite part was when Mallie got people from the audience up and dancing. It doesn’t feel like the show is just about Mallie, but about everyone who’s been disillusioned and found their way back to life.
What I didn't like
I hope you take this show to the next level!
I find it hard to sit still for 90 minutes, but it was still well worth it! I’m sure if it wasn’t a fringe show (where no one gets an intermission) you could give people an intermission at the ceremonial changing of the tapes – which was a brilliantly funny moment btw!
My overall impression
Wonderful chaos and hilarious audience engagement! Paired a well known story with a deeply personal one in a relatable exploration of self discovery.
