At my performance something truly magical happened at the end with one of the audience participants that made me remember why theater is life-changing, healing and transformative. Everyone in the audience was captivated and emotional and I can promise you every person who was in that room will remember that interaction for the rest of their lives.
And also Fabrizio.
What I didn't like
I felt like the magic pre-show didn’t quite fit the tone of the rest of the show, but who cares… GO SEETHISSHOW
My overall impression
I haven’t been able to stop thinking about this show for the past few days. Mallie’s play felt like a warm hug. It made me feel like I was reconnecting with a long-lost friend, which is crazy because we have never met before. Using her real-life journal entries as the through-line was nothing short of genius. It provided a truly real and grounding spine to an otherwise marathon of chaos. My stomach hurt from laughing so hard, and then I had to rush to grab a tissue at the end. I feel bad for anyone who is unable to see this show as it is easily the top of the Fringe this year.
