Loved the chaotic nature of so many characters and so many actions all being played by one person. Just hilarious.
What I didn't like
Transition between character switches could have been slowed down slightly in the beginning, just to give a little extra beat for the audience to clue into the switch and who the new character being played is. This is keeping in mind that Titanic was released 28 years ago so it may take audiences who haven’t seen the movie in a while some extra time to remember who all the supporting roles are.
My overall impression
Brilliant from start to finish. A hilarious, but nostalgic retelling of James Cameron’s epic. I had no idea how McCown was going to accomplish playing so many different parts, but she really pulled it off in a masterful rollercoaster ride with multiple laugh out loud moments flowing into deep drama. The chaotic nature of playing so many parts also tapped into great West End/Broadway comedy shows like Noises Off and The Play That Goes Wrong. Dylan George’s magic was also top notch and mind-blowing, and really added yet another dimension to the show. Loved it!
