What begins as a hilarious gimmick of playing every single character in Titanic soon transforms into something far more profound. The way Mallie weaves her journal entries in to the story is absolutely perfect. The show is captivating, hilarious, and has so much unexpected heart. This play is truly unforgettable and absolutely one of my tops of fringe.

I attended with Craig Harris on Thursday June 19th 8pm. Mallie McCown is an incredible performer & writer! I was blown away with how she acted out the Titanic movie including all 59 roles & mixed in her own personal journal writings as a young woman within the theme of breaking through icebergs in life. She has fantastic comedic timing and I loved how she used the props & costume pieces to distinguish each character she was portraying. It was also really fun to see how she got the audience involved - I enjoyed being a dead baby and the hands of a clock!
Dylan George's pre show magic was incredible!!!! (and he was a fantastic iceberg!).
If you want to have an extraordinary theater experience, go see the show!...

A total pleasure! The frenetic comedy and the poignant reflections were perfectly juxtaposed to keep the show off-balance enough (in great way) to compel this viewer. As a person who has never actually seen the movie, I could still enjoy this hilarious and spirited production. The audience participation elements were super clever and fun. The sketch drawings were a highlight! One of my favorites! ...

This show is a stunning, an epic, a masterful one woman retelling of Titanic. However, writer and actor Mallie doesn’t just reimagine Titanic, but also pairs it perfectly with her childhood journal entries. This show beautifully weaves together her life with the Titanic and it is absolutely hilarious, interactive, chaotic, vulnerable, and heart warming. I also love love love Titanic and died at alll the references. Great work! ...

Where to even begin....Mallie is an inspiration. I left in awe and tears at the space she takes up as a solo performer. You'd never leave thinking it was one person on the stage. Comedy, tragedy, sincerity all wrapped up into an epic of a piece. Mallie creates the type of theater we can all only hope to strive for and if there were an honorary Oscar for fringe shows, it would go to her. ...

Un-FUCKING-believably amazing! One Woman Titanic is by far the best thing I’ve seen at Fringe. Mallie McCown takes what sounds like a chaotic parody and turns it into something funny, physical, and surprisingly profound....
