Possibly one of my personal favorites! Aaron Pang takes the concept of inspiration-porn, as commonly referenced in stories of people with disabilities, and smashes it out the window to create a whole new approach. A truly genuine, authentic experience that had me tearful as I walked out by the way he playfully punches us in the gut. “Falling: A Disabled Love Story” is the reason I love the Hollywood Fringe Festival. What a joy to watch Aaron Pang’s beautifully written, sometimes painful yet always buoyant, riveting show. Aaron is a charming soul-barer who sheds light on a sometimes overlooked yet essential part of our humanity—differences in physical ability. Loved this show, Aaron is a skilled standup with excellent stage presence who weaves punchy jokes into a delightful hour with no punches pulled. He takes the audience on a rollercoaster, masterfully conducting emotional highs and lows like a choir conductor - and we get a little taste of his choir boy days!
