Super well executed, great acting, hooked me the whole time! I don’t want to give things away but I thought they made really clever use of lighting and costumes. It was really well staged, and it was a really fun and unique adaptation. ... full review

This show feels turnkey-ready for Broadway. I was so moved by the storytelling, not just by the individual performances, the direction, the puppetry, or the writing, but by this piece's commitment to telling this story in a way that not only captures the spirit of the Fringe festival, but that captures what theatre can do better than any other artform. There is no need for big effects, stage magic, or stunts. The cast works together with excellent direction and renders a time machine effortlessly with flashlights and umbrellas. The cast hums in harmony to create otherworldly alien sounds that chilled me to my core. And all of it is believable and magical. I disappeared inside that theatre for 90 minutes. The entire cast and crew shou... full review

THE TIME MACHINE blew me away. It was executed with absolute precision, from the beautiful textured costumes to the light and sound design to the set pieces — which look like they could be in an acclaimed regional playhouse and not just a Fringe show. Benjamin McFadden's script is whimsical and clever — a truly accomplished adaptation of the original novel. Jessica Erin Martin captivates as the Time Traveler, giving a nuanced performance that is both tender and fierce. The entire cast exudes energy, whimsy, and talent. The puppetry was visually mesmerizing. What a triumph!... full review

This show embodied everything that it means to be a storyteller and reminded me why I studied theater to begin with. This is an exquisite display of top-grade storytelling at its finest. The use of give-and-take from the ensemble made them a well-oiled machine. Each actor had an amazing grasp of character, the dialect work was professional, and the puppetry was exceptional. That said, much of the credit must be given to the director, Benjamin McFadden. The piece was poetic and physical, and demanded a solid understanding of stage movement. McFadden exhibited expert levels of stage craft and blocked the show seamlessly, utilizing his entire ensemble with purpose. Not a second of this show was wasted. “Time Machine” was intensely crea... full review
