What I liked

The story telling! The acting! The puppets! Everything about this play flowed seamlessly. I loved the female empowerment and relationships portrayed. It definitely passes the Bechdel Test. The humor was refreshing and on point. The puppet design/direction by Ben Burris was otherworldly and the puppeteering by cast members was perfection- allowing these puppets to be seen and loved as another living, breathing entity. JUST GORGEOUS

What I didn't like

Honestly? No notes. I’d love to see this production done outside. In the woods perhaps.

My overall impression

Beautiful, engaging, exciting, heartfelt, creative, impeccably executed. True theater magic. The Time Machine takes us on a journey through time and space and multiple magical lands full of characters and adventure. The sound design, lighting, puppets, and (minimal) set props were all used so well. That paired with stellar acting and a superbly written script truly painted a mental landscape of every magical world we enter. I laughed, I cried, I never stopped asking questions. If you love fantasy, sci-fi, folklore, mystery, and puppetry DONT MISS THIS SHOW!
