I particular loved the use of the puppets. They were so human in their movement (thanks to the actors handling them) and expression.
What I didn't like
Very tight story and performance start to finish. A beautiful piece of storytelling and art.
My overall impression
The Time Machine is a nuanced, well-written, and beautifully performed story. The cast are each very believable in their roles, with very distinct voices. Jessica Martin as “The Time Traveler” was a standout. Benjamin Burns has created beautifully crafted puppets, which are a show in and of themselves. And Benjamin McFadden not only wrote a very timely re-imagining of the story, but gave the characters true lives on stage.
