I like the use of the audience members. I very much enjoyed the actor’s pantomime, dance and movement expertise. In concert with the technical prowess he demonstrated, was an emotional depth enacted that came through beautifully.
What I didn't like
I slightly smoother transition between Chaplin’s silent era and sound era. It’s really the place where an intermission would be if it were longer.
My overall impression
Very imaginative and creative. The use of audience members as characters in Chaplin‘s life was cleverly and daringly managed with excellent results. Chaplin’s persona, mannerisms and idiosyncrasies at different stages of his life were adroitly and succinctly captured by the fine actor who presented this enchanting work of art.
