Jordan found his perfect muse in Rose London. Reminding me of the mother in Home Alone, she is witty, snarky, theatrical, and the perfect vessel to deliver offer an expose’ pm Dame Millay. This one-woman show could have gone anoter hour, the time just flew by. Her adlibs thrown directly at the audience added to the fun.
I also love the set. It was musty and well-lived-in!
Overall, I would definitely take this show on the road!!! Kudos to all involved!
What I didn't like
I would like to have seen this in a larger theater. Although, the intimate experience worked well for me, since I sat in the front row.
My overall impression
Bela Lugosi Meets Edna St. Vincent Millay is a history lesson dressed up in dramatic entertainment. Author Jordan Young has this unique ability to take nostalgia and make it sound fresh and modern. He is clever in alternately subtle and over-the-top penned words.
