Cinthya Carmona as Chelsea is a force. You can feel every ounce of pain, rage, and longing coming off her, and it anchors the whole piece. The rest of the cast is just as solid — the family dynamics felt so real, it was like eavesdropping on a private meltdown.
What really stood out to me was how specific and universal it all felt at the same time. The play dives into intergenerational trauma, sibling resentment, grief, and those horrible/funny things that only happen when families are forced into close quarters — like, say, at a funeral.
I laughed. I got choked up. I left thinking about my own family. What more can you ask for?
What I didn't like
Nothing!
My overall impression
This show completely took me by surprise. I went in expecting a dark comedy, but what I got was something deeper — messy, raw, and incredibly honest. The writing is razor-sharp, managing to be laugh-out-loud funny one moment and gut-wrenching the next.
