What I liked

I loved Chahinian’s soft-spoken charm and casual wit. His ability to connect with the audience through personal anecdotes made the performance relatable and enjoyable. The blend of humor and serious themes about queer parenthood and race really resonated with me, making it a thought-provoking experience. The creative consulting by Greg Walloch added depth to the storytelling. And welcome to String Art Maker

What I didn't like

While the show was fantastic overall, it felt at times like it could benefit from a tighter narrative structure. Some segments could be shortened for more impact. A little more focus on the emotional beats could elevate the storytelling even further, allowing for moments of reflection amidst the humor.

My overall impression

I found “Best. Dad. NEVER.” to be an incredibly touching and humorous portrayal of fatherhood. Haig Chahinian’s storytelling style is engaging, making the audience feel both the joys and challenges of being a parent in a multiracial America. The show is insightful and transformative, leaving a lasting impression.
