Wow, can Hike teach me all things? I could listen all day. I was not expecting to be challenged as much as I was warmed and tickled. He takes his personal experiences and though vastly different than mine, I could somehow relate. Partially because of would have totally stood up at the free dance concert. I thoroughly loved the show; it was so human and relatable, whether you have children or not. It covered so many parts of humanity; the struggle with our past behavior and how we could have done better (in context of raising a child), but the question is could we have done better in context of what we knew at the time? The insidious nature of racism, that which we commit, whether we realize or not, and that which we are a victim (it's everywhere). The impact of being the descendant of genocide survivors and victims, how this perpetuates hate and shapes one's experiences. It was very thought provoking and enlightening. For the entire show, which is only about an hour long, Haig manages to capture your full attention as he sometimes comically and always insightfully recounts moments both good and bad that shaped his ongoing journey through fatherhood.... full review

Incredible. To say it was just thought provoking is an understatement. It was moving in a way that the audience was confronted with looking inward at their own actions, behaviors, words and impact that each of us has had and continues to have with others, but even more so, with our own internal struggles and dialogues. Haig’s authenticity and earnest performance was not ‘acting’ but rather true storytelling and it felt as if you were witnessing a transformation in himself in just a short 60 minutes. Im Urlaub erzählte mir eine Freundin von einem Slot mit Tiermotiven.
