What I liked

some especially stand-out moments or performances to me:
- grey’s subconscious’s facial expressions and vocal choices felt spot-on to me. grey’s performance was dynamic as well; the actor did an excellent job getting into his head.
- there was a passage about flowers turning into weeds that led to a miscommunication between the two protagonists, and i thought that moment represented the crux of the difficulty in isla and grey’s relationship exceptionally.
- the dialogue when the two leads flirted was snappy, often punctuating a heavy show with moments of levity. the beginning sequence made me understand how isla became trapped in such a volatile, abusive a relationship.
- isla’s slow-then-sudden descent into casual drug (ab)use felt highly realistic. it felt like i was watching her age before my eyes.

What I didn't like

i would be excited to see even more moments of stark contrast between the subconsciouses and the characters!

My overall impression

this work has so much heart — it is clear that the team was interested in making even the most flawed characters feel dimensional and worthy of care. the concept is innovative and the story feels highly personal. each actor worked to embody all of the different dimensions of the people/minds they were portraying!
