The writing is sensational! I laughed out loud, often and when I gasped it was heartbreakingly authentic. These four women were outstanding in their roles! Vulnerable, hilarious, insecure, naive and clueless. All sides of these daughters and mothers beautiful imperfections were explored during one eventful night. For us to cheer and even shed a few tears. Bravo!!
What I didn't like
I would like to see less of the backwards walking. It’s effective within the structure of this staging but perhaps there can be other ways in a produced and fully staged run to relay the passage of going back in time.
My overall impression
Polite Conversations and Wine is what I yearn for and love about storytelling in the theater. A story that unfolds originally but in a way I can follow and lean in for what’s next. Sensational chemistry among these four women!
