The Philosophers is a raunchy romantic comedy about two philosophy majors and their friends. Bringing raunchy “thoughts you should have kept to yourself” to life through horny, depressed college students, this full-length play highlights the trials and tribulations of self-exploration in early adulthood. Putting the audience in the shoes of an over-zealous co-ed, the show follows lovebirds Alex and Lou from their first meeting to the awkwardness of post-breakup hookups and new partners. Immersed in the same classes and friend groups, they and their peers seek to test the boundaries of what relationships can be amidst the chaos of (accidentally) joining a sex cult, summoning a demon, and—most frightful of all—re-entering the dating scene.
