My overall impression

This was my first Fringe experience and it was a GREAT one!

Me Love Me is a smartly crafted, sharp tongued cautionary tale of sorts about a self-absorbed mess of a human. It’s a glimpse at the LA syndrome sinking it’s claws into a couple’s unbalanced relationship already suffering from drug abuse and manipulation. This show is brave, smart and honest. I really loved the writing and the actors pulled me in quickly. The writing boarders on smut at times and poetry at others, filled with raunchy one-liners and dialog so believable it can cause deja-vu. The set, lighting design and writing really shine and the 3 member cast effortlessly brought a life to the characters and a connection to the emotions, keeping the lunacy of the situation and the motivations grounded in reality. It also did what any good story should; kept me guessing the whole way but every choice met my expectations.

If you like dark shows with a solid cast, sinister writing and ugly truth, go see an original production with real heart and sincerity. Thanks for the gritty peek into the depth of the human mind-pit.
