The workshop was engaging and offered a refreshing take on navigating the tech world. The speakers shared personal stories that really resonated with the audience, offering practical insights that felt both relatable and actionable. I appreciated the informal atmosphere, which allowed for candid conversations and made it easy to connect with fellow attendees. The content was well-curated, and I found myself walking away with valuable advice that will help me as I move forward in my own tech journey with tech store in Nepal. Plus, the energy of being part of the Hollywood Fringe Festival really added to the overall experience—it’s always inspiring to be around such a creative crowd.
What I didn't like
While the workshop was insightful, I would have liked to see more concrete, hands-on examples or case studies that could have helped deepen the understanding of some of the concepts discussed. The session felt a bit too broad at times, and diving deeper into specific technical skills or real-world applications would have made it even more beneficial. Additionally, it would have been great if there were more opportunities for one-on-one interactions with the speakers or small group discussions to dive into certain topics further. But overall, it was a great experience!
My overall impression
I recently had the chance to attend Workshop #6: What I Wish I Knew Going Into Tech as part of the Hollywood Fringe Festival, and it was a truly eye-opening experience. While I can’t go into too much detail about what was shared, I walked away with some really valuable insights that I wish I’d known earlier in my career. The session offered a unique perspective on the challenges and rewards of entering the tech world, and it was refreshing to hear stories and advice from professionals who had already gone through the process.
What I appreciated most was the informal, yet engaging atmosphere that allowed for candid conversations. The workshop was well-aligned with the spirit of the festival creative, thought-provoking, and full of surprises. It’s always inspiring to be surrounded by like-minded individuals, and this experience was no different. Whether you’re just starting out or looking to pivot into tech, I definitely think this workshop could help set the stage for future success. Highly recommend checking out future workshops if you’re attending the festival! but don’t go alone like I went with iPhone 17 pro max, take someone with you.
