What I liked
Loved the integration of story, multimedia images, and music.
What I didn't like
Would love to hear more songs. Also, musicians were louder than singer, so better audio balance would be appreciated.
My overall impression
This is Water, Rain Perry’s reckoning with her family’s and our country’s history of race and racism, is a journey of discovery that is more than a one-woman show. Nuanced and thought-provoking, this multimedia exploration combines personal reflections, family photos, meticulously researched historical documents, and original music. This is Water is a poignant and beautiful show so timely in the world we live in. Can’t wait to see more from Rain Perry and her collaborators.
