I love that no two shows could be the same. Not even close. And it’s up to the night, the audience, and Kevin’s neuroses to make history in the room.
What I didn't like
This question almost goes against the core of the show – The only thing that could be improved is that Kevin is faced with as much failure as possible – because it’s really fun to see what happens when that’s the case.
My overall impression
Kevin Krieger’s An Honest Work is almost a sporting event – except he doesn’t wear pads. Just a tropical shirt and some ill fitting shorts as he wrestles his own mind and heart with no script, no plan, and no artifice – just 60 pure improvised minutes of leaning into the imperfections of art and life as he works against all our expectations of performance. It’s idiot and clowning at its absolute best.
