Under Milk Wood is an ensemble piece originally written as a play for voices by the English poet Dylan Thomas. It begins with the subconscious dreams of a small, Welsh, fishing town by the name of Llareggub. The villagers’ dreams interact with one another, revealing wishes, hopes, secrets and longings. The cycle continues as the villagers wake up and go about their daily lives, and ends with them returning again to slumber, alive and brimming with dreams.
