"Brave... Provocative... These are words you can use to describe art." The audience laughs, and even though Tony jokingly delivers this line during his show I thought it couldn't be any more true to describe his show. There's something very special about this act, and Tony. The show is a mix of part stand up, part avant-garde comedy, part poetry, and part honest self-confessional/deprecating humor. To sum it up, it's beautiful. Tony is not afraid to share some of his darkest thoughts, which is mostly played for laughs at his own expense. But honestly, at one point in the show, near the end, I found myself connecting much more to his journey and his personal trauma, holding back tears.. Highly entertaining and moving. I had no expectations going into the show- well that’s not true. I met Tony Bartoloni (?) at a Fringe mixer and thought “WOW what a zany character”, I was intrigued and slightly jarred, which was a feeling that carried into the show. Once Tony came on stage, his vulnerability was palpable. Not to say he wasn’t hilarious. Because he was- is. “This is Art” felt like being on an awkward date with an alien who’s more acutely attuned to humanity than I could dream of. I loved every minute, even the moments when the cringe was (almost) too much to bare.... full review

It was a fun, engaging show that covered a range of topics, from class inequality, to loneliness, to fatphobia, to the form of comedy itself. Tony is an authentic performer that will surprise you, make you uncomfortable, and speak directly to your core all while making you laugh.... full review

Tony put on a very entertaining show that was packed with both jokes and heart. I even got to participate in the show, which was a blast. I loved his outfit, too - very artistic! He's not just a great comedian, but also a great human. Thanks for the laughs, Tony!... full review

Such fun! So glad I met Tony and got to experience his show. Hilarious comedian, but also a person with so much heart. Jokes were great, but not just that, Tony was so vulnerable sharing real, honest things about himself, and his life. Really impressive to watch him up there for a full hour, and would definitely see more of his shows. Highly recommend!... full review
