I saw the show on its opening preview, and was told the cast only had 3 days to the put the show together. This made an already accomplished show, more impressive. The creative team made a brave decision, choosing to focus much of the story on the fairies in the woods, as opposed to the lovers. This lent itself to a darker take on Oberon and Titania, where their intentions were given more airtime than usual, making them more rounded characters.
What I didn't like
Now that the actors have more than 3 days under their belt, any moments that need work, will get that work. So it’s hard to point to anything!
My overall impression
A very impressively put together version of A Midsummer Night’s Dream.
