This was my second Moon Chola production I witnessed and it keeps getting better! The sensational aspect of this production company is the unique patina Director Blanca Espinoza, and collaborator/ writer Alex Alfaro, depict graciously through the medium of painstakingly elaborate costumes; stylized direction, and perfectly carved out words. More than anything, it was incredibly entertaining while exceptionally thought provoking. I enjoyed experiencing the union of the playwrights words and the Moon Chola flavor. I can't wait to see what else they produce!... full review

Wow! Amazing performances by the cast. We’ll cast as I was enthralled by each performance. Heartfelt performances, well staged and felt very intimate which drew me in. From menacing Satan who had just the right level of charm to Mother Teresa’s personification and the closing monologue from Butch Honeywell that brought tears to my eyes. I felt his pain! Create performances Congratulations to all involved!... full review

The Hollywood Fringe Festival presents a thought-provoking, yet authentic production of Stephen Adly Guirgis’ “The Last Days of Judas Iscariot.” The play delves into philosophical questions about faith and explores the complex character of Judas Iscariot. The central question of whether God is benevolent or vengeful adds depth to the narrative, making it a compelling experience for audiences of all beliefs. Set in a courtroom in purgatory, a disinterested judge, played by Gabriela Maldonado, carries out her duties with little interest. She dismisses a lawsuit brought on behalf of Judas Iscariot, despite his lawyer’s protests and the arrival of an opposing lawyer. As the case plays out, various religious figures are called to the stand, r... full review

It was absolutely riveting. All of the actors were so interesting, they kept you guessing! you couldn’t tell who was a villain, who was a hero. Every actor made you believe their characters were capable of anything. They were playing human beings, 360°, 1000%. The show was very suspenseful engaging. I especially loved how Satan wasn’t overtly menacing or Evil, but more taking delight in his menace and his evil which made him even more creepy ... full review

First off I’d like to congratulate all the amazing talent that have worked hard to make this show happen! Favorite characters I feel you should look out for because they made me laugh and cry are Sigmund Freud, Bailiff, and Satan. Of course Cunningham and El-Fayoumy were captivating as well. Even if you aren’t religious or read the Bible I would definitely recommend people to come watch and support all these actors who are sure to entertain you with this take of “The Last Days of Judas Iscariot”!... full review
