I enjoyed the set up of the piece, the point is clear and sets up many opportunities for conflict. The stories slowly unfold, but it’s organic and each one comes at the right time.
As each has a turn to speak, I was very impressed with how much listening was done on the stage- you could tell the cast had a strong respect for each other and was tuned in.
There were some very strong performances, and I enjoyed the occasional use of other languages, which made it feel very authentic.
The theme of finding commonality versus judgement was at the center of this show, which to me encompasses the point of fringe shows- sharing stories and being a part of community.
What I didn't like
The design of the theater is intimate, but it eats sound like nobody’s business. Some of the actors need to up their projection a little for us folks near the back :) but other than that, 🙌🏼
My overall impression
This show embodied what the fringe fest is all about.
