The simplicity of the show allowed for me to really focus on the writing and intricate performance. I also enjoyed the way the sound design and lighting was incorporated.
What I didn't like
I’m not sure from an artistic standpoint, but allowing late seating was distracting when the door (which was squeaky) opened a few times.
My overall impression
This show encompasses what we love about live theatre. A story that is so simple, yet complex. Combining song, story, testimony, heartbreak, and laughter. This show is helmed by a master of their craft. A show that requires a level of energy even a young person may struggle with giving. This show had me engaged from the first moments, until the end.
