What I liked
Lynette and her band of talented musicians whip up some great tunes! Many of them original and their talents shine. And Lynette’s energy reminds you to celebrate life; several of us got up and danced. A fun evening overall. I was also surprised and delighted that food and drink came with the show. Very generous of the creative team.
What I didn't like
There is an outline to the show, which is easily diverted from. It is at times more an improv than a prepared piece with a focused entertainment through-line. That Lynette speaks to you directly in the moment – including you in the cabaret/theatre – ties it together some, but it could benefit from keeping the overall show more focused and on point.
My overall impression
It’s a party! A celebration, literally! With food, drink, live music, dancing – chatty storytelling, impromptu moments, costume changes, projections, and more. It is Lynette’s story – relived before your eyes highlighting her life’s lessons learned along the way. A few poignant moments made it come together for me.
