What I liked

Uma’s singing is incredible even though she was battling a throat infection she still managed to hit those amazing high notes. Uma has so much talent that I’m sure she might make others with none, green with envy.

What I didn't like

The show was a little loose but this might have been because it was opening night and because Uma was battling a throat issue.

My overall impression

Funny! Absurd! Lots of nonsense and naughty humour. This show isn’t for the stuck-up, prudish or with zero knowledge of opera or pop. Don’t turn up expecting a Broadway musical on a million-dollar budget at an exclusive venue. This is a fringe show from top to bottom, from the small, indie, tucked-away venue through to pushing boundaries and shining a light on talent, not tricks, gimmicks and expensive props and imagery. People with zero knowledge of opera or history might find it hard to keep up. Anyone who loves to laugh and doesn’t take themselves too seriously will enjoy the show. The show is interactive, so expect to be asked to participate and get on stage. The show also has a strong feminist thread running through it which is important to know in case that’s not your jam. Overall, loved it and can’t wait to see more of Uma. She’s definitely a talent to watch.
