My overall impression
“A Man of No Importance” is a love story; love for Art, love for family, love for friends, romantic love, and love for self. I didn’t know what to expect going in. I specifically went to see a friend of mine perform, and was pleasantly surprised by the story. While the story isn’t necessarily original, there are plot points that stray from typical love triangle dramas. Especially in the social dialogue if today, this comedic drama touches on some very important issues and the company tells the story with talented performances and simple, yet effective use of the stage.
I thoroughly enjoyed this piece. Even though it was long at 2.5 hours, it never felt long.
Highly recommended.
