(In)tolerant serves huge questions about allergens and health ailments that parallel immediately and fully with those of life, the fundamental questions about being human, about the equal parts senselessness and hero’s journey of pain, all by way of soaring operatic notes, catchy jazzy tunes, and soft and heart-string-pulling ballads. What a performer and a performance! I’m inspired by Uma’s generosity in storytelling, her wit and heart and for transmuting the isolation of pain and suffering into creative genius.

My overall impression
Wow, what an incredibly entertaining, literally gut-wrenching, beautiful and hilarious show. Uma’s voice is transporting, beautiful, evocative, and the writing, both spoken and lyrical, is multilayered, disarmingly humorous while weaving masterfully themes that are deeply resonant and universally heart-filling.
