What I liked

Ariella is just so funny and she invites audiences to laugh with her even though the topic is “sensitive”. She elevates a voice so rarely heard without putting down or dismissing people outside of her direct “fat girl” demographic. She truly understands how pervasive body talk is through every facet of life. It allows all sizes and shapes to learn!

What I didn't like

She mentions how her posting photos on social media helped her and others, and I think that is exactly where this show needs to be! I desperately think these messages need to be shared on tik tok, Facebook, and instagram and, coming from Ariella, so many will be able to connect with it. It’s already written as a direct-to-audience piece so I feel like turning it into a tell-all social media series is right there. There will be haters online but this is the kind of body positivity that will change so many peoples lives.

My overall impression

A brave and personal story that need to be heard all around LA and the world! This play touches on every facet of fatphobia. Including our internalized one. A piece that give you no choice but to learn and grow. You may also learn about ethical non-monogamy and the importance of 👏com 👏mun 👏i 👏 cation 👏
