What I liked
Ariella is instantly likable and establishes a bond with her audience from the very beginning. While we are listening to Ariella share her compelling story, the show really feels like a conversation between Ariella and her audience, as she allows us time to reflect on the different subjects she covers, including but not limited to – fatness, queerness, and sexful-ness. And if you think you don’t have a relationship with any of those things – you are wrong! Through sharing her unique experience, Ariella causes us to reflect on our universal shared experience.

Time to take this show on the road!
My overall impression
Ariella Salinas Fiore is a theatrical force, and has created a powerful, fun, and emotional one woman show that is a peak example of the medium. I hope that she brings it beyond Fringe, and that many more get to experience THE FAT GIRL’S GUIDE.
