I learned so much about Ariella’s life in a fun and humorous way. Her honesty was refreshing….and uncomfortable at the same time. She worked very well with the audience, connecting with us, and including us in the jokes. The show was thought provoking, but I was entertained throughout. I love leaving a show smiling and laughing, while at the same time pondering the stories, and being touched as well.
What I didn't like
Honestly, I don’t know. It touched me in a way that moved me. So I think it did it’s job.
My overall impression
This show was not only entertaining, but educational too…in all the right ways. Ariella was able to weave a tapestry of experiences into a one hour show. “Fat Girls Guide….” is an honest exploration that took me through a gamut of emotions. I laughed, I cried, I was uncomfortable, I was supported, it made me think, it made me remember my own hang-ps and childhood. I loved this show because a week later, I’m still thinking about the show, the message, and the stories Ariella told.
