Corduroy Chapman as the clown, hands down the best part. Without saying a word, he stole the show. His facial expressions were superbly comprehensive, his character hilariously dejected until receiving redemption. He elicited the sympathies of the entire crowd, and deservedly so. His dynamic with the emcee worked great. The plays itself were increasingly more compelling, finishing with a captivating portrayal of the last two people on Earth with a relationship I’ve never seen in such a setting. But, yes, again…Corduroy stole the show.
What I didn't like
I didn’t understand the first play. Not sure if it was supposed to be pure absurdism, or if there were layers I didn’t get or references that I was missing.
My overall impression
An unique collection of three short plays centered on the ubiquitous theme of love, but each with different tones and takes on said theme. True definition of a variety show, especially with the extremely entertaining and endearing narrative device of the clown and the emcee running throughout.
