The characterizations worked for me. As did Wilson’s singing voice, which reached gospel and spiritual heights that left one with hope.
What I didn't like
I would have liked to see a more comprehensive video selection of where we as a country were at – at the time of the play’s narrative.
My overall impression
SCRAPBOOK was a bold, broad look at a disturbing time in our country. Wilson portrayed a cadre of characters that this viewer hardly considered in the age of Trump. Wilson’s portrayal of the characters elucidated a sense of understanding that offered illumination to the audience. No matter what side you’re on.
