What I liked
All the performances were on point. The puppeteer was not only hilarious, but incredibly talented with the choreography and mouth movements. I never knew I needed a burlesque performance from a sexy Tickle Me Elmo (or better known as Tickle Me Tatas in the show) but I feel all the more complete as a human for having seen it.
What I didn't like
I think this could do great with a bit bigger scale/budget. This reminds me of other parody or themed burlesque shows that play regularly in rented theaters. While the bar and dinner show atmosphere is great for an intimate feel, I would love to be able to see this go all out. I also think there’s definitely an audience for this kind of thing and hope you find people to just keep throwing money at y’all (hopefully more than the singles that rained down at the performance I saw).
Nothing about the show itself needs to be improved other than it could be longer! Who doesn’t want to laugh a little more and enjoy talented performers doing their thing?
My overall impression
A hilarious and horny tour de force that works on a lot of different levels. Whether you’re there to appreciate the great burlesque or enjoy the adult “Avenue Q” like humor and songs, there’s something for everyone down on Sexame Strip!
