What I liked

Absolutely LOVED the shadow play! I won’t spoil too much, but that directorial choice had me cackling.

What I didn't like

I personally found the music during the middle school dance to be distracting from the beautiful work Jack Miller as Travis was doing in the outing scene. I wonder whether we might be able to buy in to the emotional weight of that moment better if the music halted or decreased in volume at some point in Travis and Jonah’s conversation.

My overall impression

Plenty of charming 2012 middle school nostalgia!
