Who would dare complain about a 30 minute one on one immersive show that starts on a blistering hot, dangerously uneven corner of Santa Monica Blvd and then heads to a relatively warm, but significantly smoother place unknown. This was so unique, wacky, and hilarious! It's not every day that you get a 1:1 personalized theatrical experience based on a complaint you have. The creativity around how they used my complaint and what they did with it was something I could have never expected. And there was also a very REAL moment where I actually got good advice around my complaint. I am relatively new to the concept of immersive theater, so I went into The Complaint Department Experience with no expectations. There was a bit of mental preparation involved in that I was asked to come with a notion of what complaint it was I wanted to file. So, with that in mind, I met up with the ‘supervisor’ of the complaints department ( as opposed to, it is explained, The Solutions Department). Next, I was seamlessly escorted to a most unconventional theater space, but I won’t spoil the fun by describing it here. I liked how my session had a nice balance of absurdly funny protocol with adequate time to vent! I laughed, got a lot off my chest and even learned a few things from the supervisor's insight. Without giving away too much, I think everyone will feel a helluva lot better afterwards, as I did. This is much cheaper than therapy, and far more entertaining!... full review
