What I liked
Joanna opening her heart and sharing that time in her life. Talking directly to the audience, singing and playing guitar to tell her story.
The whiskey song in quite memorable.
What I didn't like
I love Joanna’s soprano vocals. Maybe add a bit of mixed/chest voice in the storytelling?
My overall impression
A delightful performance by Joanna Parson! I enjoyed hearing her story of moving to NYC – a dream many of us pursued with spirit and determination back in the late 90s-early 2000s. Joanna sings with sweet wit and supports her storytelling playing her guitar, and making us laugh and reminisce about the struggle of an artist’s life.
