What I liked
With no props, I was focused entirely on Joanna, her guitar, and her story. I certainly learned a great deal about the transcription business (…one, until fairly recently, I didn’t know existed.)
She has a way of recounting unpleasant or even tragic events without a maudlin tint, or hint of self-pity. And I was genuinely surprised at what she shared and appreciated her humor and candor.
She has a very sweet voice which made the moments of sarcasm all the more biting.
This is a woman who knows herself very well.
What I didn't like
No negatives! I’d like to have seen a larger audience!
My overall impression
(NOTE: I attended Joanna’s first performance, however, my ticket was purchased by my husband, therefore, there is no record of a purchase under my name…)
Very Favorable! I smiled almost the whole way through (except for the sad bits.)
