What I liked
It’s a standup show, I’m not going to give away the good bits here! You have to go see it for yourselves, and you’d better hurry up. But I will say, the cigar was a nice traditional touch, befitting America’s Favorite Standup.
What I didn't like
I didn’t like that Abby didn’t like herself enough! She is a lovely person. Although I suppose this is far from uncommon in the world of comedy. Perhaps, in the end, this is just further evidence that she is well on her way to becoming America’s Favorite Standup.
My overall impression
If only this country enjoyed big words as much as I do (even, and especially, if some of those words are in Welsh), Abby Denton would be well on her way to the title of America’s Favorite Standup. It’s the rare comedian who has mastered the art of the setup to the degree Abby has. You will marvel at the craftsmanship with which she drops punchlines you never, ever saw coming, and wonder how she got you AGAIN.
