What I liked
Melina’s use of stage, movement, props, technical enhancement, costume, character work, and illumination of a powerful woman’s complex story. The moment portraying sexual assault was both deeply moving and disturbing, important and haunting. She has an excellent command of her body and uses it to bring this story to life.
What I didn't like
As far as I could tell from the promotional materials, there is no director on this project. No matter how solid a piece of theatre is, I find it is always vital to have outside eyes – specifically with a solo show when we as artists are so very close to our work. If there is a director on this show, I did not see the name anywhere, so perhaps I am mistaken.

Important exploration of latin culture, the powerful and problematic world of drugs, and a powerful woman many know too little about, Griselda Blanco
