What I liked
The writing was razor sharp, and paced in a way to build tension and allow it to release without losing focus. The performance was stunning from the first minute, and the theatre drops away as the story unfolds. There are so many challenging aspects to this script, and every one of them was handled with aplomb. Incredible and impressive show.
What I didn't like
My only comments for improvement come from the limitations of the FRINGE/Black box format… it deserves a bigger space, and I’d love to see this expanded into a two act play.
My overall impression
A tight, highly dramatic and compelling rendering of the life of Griselda Blanco, capturing the complexity and challenging life of a woman who is easy to write off as sumply being ‘a drug lord/bad guy’
