Object work is something that is feels like you see even some very famous and notable actors struggle with. Yet Jenna has developed such the mastery over it that I might as well have hallucinated her actually flipping burgers. This object work also leads to some of the hardest laughs I have had to date when she then teaches an audience member how to step into her shoes – consistently reminding those she has onstage with her that this is a clearly marked and endowed space: you can’t just run into the fryer like that!
What I didn't like
Jenna, how dare you only have three performances of this!?! I wanted to see it again after seeing it once and all the other shows were already sold out! PLEASE. This was too brilliant to not see again.
My overall impression
The references to various franchise characters, the everyday average Joe success story as well as the reimagining of the Fall of Ronald McDonald all culminate into one of my favorite shows of this year. Ronald is has the time fly by as you get lost in the story Jenna has built, proving that Jenna Podell is an actress in comedy we all need to be aware of.
