Given the subject matter, the comedy was just so robustly executed on all levels: performances, direction, and script.
What I didn't like
Maybe has more pop cultural references than necessary.
My overall impression
They need to take this show on the road. In one hour, the “True Events” team put together a show that’s very funny where you really care about the characters that’s presented in an innovative way. I didn’t know what I was getting into, but I left feeling like I reeled in the big fish of the festival. I think “This Show is Surrounded by True Events” might be my favorite HFF show since the pandemic.
