A talented bunch of recent AAMDA grads have joined creative forces at this year’s Hollywood Fringe Festival to bring audiences The Altruists, Nicky Silver’s outrageously funny skewering of liberal causes gone berserk. Hollywood Fringe Festival attendees who’ve have their fill of solo performances and experimental new works would do well to give The Altruists a look-see. I really loved the production. The play is a dark comedy with an extremely specific tone, and I was so impressed by the performances, which felt like they thread that needle really spectacularly, especially the actor playing Ronald. That's a really difficult role to make believable, and they did it. I also thought the costuming was spectacular (especially of Lance). Clearly all under the hand of a very talented director with a vision. ... full review
