What I liked
The writing is tight, with hairpin turns from laughs to tragic shocks to a sort of Sondheim Tourrettes as Auntie B uses snippets of musicals along with a biting wit to respond to her readers and her own situation. Becca Lustgarten is completely in for the ride of those hairpin turns, showing us the veneer as well as the pain underneath.
What I didn't like
I just hope that this show has a life beyond Hollywood Fringe!
My overall impression
What starts as a quirky comedy quickly reveals itself to be something darker, but keeps the audience in suspense as Auntie B’s truths slowly slip through the well-polished cracks.
